About the Book

Unspoken… Because love that truly loves… sometimes stays hidden is a collection of fourteen simple yet emotionally touching stories, set against the everyday backdrops of ordinary lives. The delicate threads that bind these stories are memory, longing, regret, and love left unexpressed.

The characters we meet — in a school, on a college campus, aboard a train, or at a quiet restaurant — could be you or me. There are no dramatic events, only quiet turning points and moments of realization that shape lives in lasting ways.

Written with tenderness and restraint, these stories draw from the emotional undercurrents of common people — a scientist who loses his family, a mother of two who meets a father-like figure, a retired man seeking closure, and men who couldn’t speak… and live with longing ever after. There are no perfect endings here — only deeply human ones.

Inspired by the narrative simplicity of R.K. Narayan and the emotional candour of Ruskin Bond, Unspoken invites readers to pause, reflect, and perhaps remember someone they once knew — or once were.

These are stories of what was said, what was meant, and what was felt but never spoken. In the silences between the lines, something lingers.

About the Author

Atulya is an amateur writer presenting his first published work of literature. For him, creative writing is not a profession but a cherished hobby — a space where emotions take shape through poetry, stories, travelogues, and reflective essays.

Though he primarily writes in English, his affection for Hindi and Punjabi often finds its way into his work. And at times, he enjoys flirting with Urdu as well. His writing is rooted in observation, nostalgia, and the unspoken bonds that thread through everyday life. Deeply inspired by R.K. Narayan, his stories revolve around ordinary men and women in everyday settings — a campus, a marketplace, a memory.

In his professional world, Atulya is immersed in technical and scientific work. He often says,

“I build stories, systems, and solutions — every word, wire, or watt bears my signature.” It is this intersection of logic and emotion that shapes his storytelling — gentle, deliberate, and always sincere.

“Atulya” is the pen name under which the author brings this work to life.
