Library of Congress Control Number

$99.00

The Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN) is a unique identification number that the Library of Congress—the largest library in the world that also serves as the national library of the United States—assigns to certain books that it is likely to acquire.

Librarians worldwide use the LCCN as an identifier in order to catalog books from US-based book publishers like Partridge Singapore. The LCCN is also used by librarians to access the associated bibliographic record in the Library of Congress’s database or to obtain information on various book titles in other databases.

Partridge Singapore will submit a copy of your book to the Library of Congress, and we will arrange for a card catalogue number to be assigned for your book. Please note that the Library of Congress reserves the right to refuse cataloguing titles. They do not provide catalogue numbers for books under 50 pages unless they are a children's book. They also do not catalogue transitory or consumable materials, such as colouring books, comic books, and cut-out books. The Library of Congress will not assign card catalogue numbers for books that fall under any of these categories.

Note: This service can be purchased together with the publishing package or during the submission of the manuscript. This cannot be purchased for book titles that are already published.
