About the Book

Have you heard about the Arab community in Singapore? Once prominent traders and philanthropists in the country, they are remembered by places and street signs: Aljunied Road, Alkaff Mansion, Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah. Join the Story Seekers (Ameen, Tiffany and Wei Lun) as they go back in time to explore Kampong Gelam in the 1930s, with the helpful guide of Mr Mir, an Arab trader in the past! Learn more about Singapore’s rich multicultural tapestry as we uncover the stories of our Arab pioneers and their contributions to Singapore that last till today.
