Possessing a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and advanced studies in molecular biology, she has dedicated decades to investigating the intricate link between microbial ecosystems and human physiology. Her research has been essential in demonstrating the impact of gut flora on digestion, mental health, immune function, and the management of chronic diseases. Dr. Bharati has extensively published in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and produced several books, establishing her as a prominent authority in the global discourse on gut health and wellness. She has served as a keynote speaker at various worldwide conferences and symposiums, imparting her experience to medical professionals and the general public. (3) Professor Lee Chuen Neng is a distinguished cardiac surgeon and Emeritus Consultant at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS), in addition to being a Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS Medicine). Throughout more than five decades, he has made substantial contributions to cardiac surgery and medical education in Singapore. In 1985, Professor Lee established the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) at the National University Hospital (NUH) and significantly contributed to its incorporation into NUHCS when it attained National Centre status in 2008. As a visionary leader, he founded the Advanced Surgery Training Centre and built 14 specialized surgical divisions, including transplant and reconstructive surgery, at NUH. Prof. Lee, a prominent figure in medical education, played a pivotal role in establishing a collaborative certification program for Cardiothoracic Surgery in conjunction with the Hong Kong College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
