About the Book
The book is about ten chickadees managing inheritance and generating cash income for their grandmother in her retirement and to afford to buy Singapore public HDB flats. They want to live the Singapore Dream, and help others be happy with their lives within Singapore. The book is also a remembrance of Tee and the fifth chickadee, Gu chickadee. The story demonstrates the spirit of working together and the spirit of truth.
About the Author
Ms Kay Yap is a budding children’s author, who grew up and has lived all her life in Singapore. Although this her first foray into publishing, she has always loved writing, reading & children. She was educated at Nanyang Technological University in 1993 and pursued a career as children teacher at a Childcare Centre, teaching children toiletry etiquette, English, Chinese, Math, Science, Arts & Craft, Engineering, General Knowledge. She also pursued a career as Engineer & manager working for LTA and PUB projects. She has 2 sons KJ & Joshua who live & work in Singapore. Reading her children’s book, she hopes that people will be inspired to love & take care of children.
Ms Kay Yap loves children very much, although she worked for a ta Childcare Centre for awhile, she shows her love through helping children with toiletry & teaching children languages & Engineering, she knows children love her very much too. She knows her life with children & working with children is the best aspiration God has given to her.
She also want to say Gregory a very great teacher who is very encouraging & kind.
