About the Book

What is the universe ultimately made of? Matter? Energy? Quantum fields? Information? And behind every observation lies an even deeper question: Who is the one who knows the universe? The Universe: Information, Consciousness & Advaita takes the reader on a fascinating journey from the frontiers of modern physics to the depths of self-inquiry. Beginning with quantum reality, spacetime, black holes and information, the journey gradually turns toward the observer, consciousness, and ultimately the timeless inquiry of the Upanishads and Advaita Vedanta—exploring Drashta, Sakshi, Maya, Turiya, Atman and Brahman. Yet this book makes an essential distinction: similarity is not proof. Modern physics is not presented as scientific evidence for Vedanta. Instead, the reader is invited to explore their intriguing resonances while respecting the boundaries between scientific discovery and spiritual inquiry. Science asks: How does the universe work? Vedanta asks: Who is the one who knows it? The book explores both—and leaves the deeper answer to you. RESONANCE ≠ PROOF CONCEPTUAL SIMILARITY ≠ SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE

About the Author

HARSH SHARMA Atmavid • Researcher • Engineer • Independent Seeker Harsh Sharma is an accomplished engineering professional, researcher, and independent seeker whose life and work reflect a sustained engagement with two complementary frontiers of inquiry—the outer world of science and technology and the inner world of consciousness and self-knowledge. With more than three decades of international professional experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas, and Process Industries, he has built a multidisciplinary career spanning Instrumentation, Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical Sales, Marketing, and International Business Development. He currently serves as Director – Engineering with multinational company and is professionally based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His professional journey has taken him across the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Over the course of his career, he has been involved in engineering and technical support, development and establishment of manufacturing processes, conceptualization and execution of projects, international market and business development, and profit-centre management. Beyond engineering, Harsh Sharma is an award-winning marketing strategist, conference speaker, and seminar leader, bringing together technical knowledge, business insight, communication, and leadership developed through decades of international experience. Parallel to this professional journey has been an equally enduring intellectual and contemplative quest. For many years, he has explored modern physics, cosmology, information theory, consciousness studies, Chakra Sadhana, the Upanishads, and Advaita Vedanta—subjects that approach some of humanity’s most fundamental questions from remarkably different perspectives: What is the universe ultimately made of? What is the nature of consciousness? Who is the observer behind experience? And, ultimately—Who am I? His approach is distinguished by a deliberate respect for the boundaries between scientific investigation and spiritual inquiry. Rather than attempting to make modern physics prove Vedanta—or ancient philosophy anticipate modern science—he explores where their ideas may resonate, where they clearly differ, and where each invites us to question our assumptions about reality. His writings therefore bring together the discipline of an engineer, the curiosity of a researcher, and the introspection of a seeker. For Harsh Sharma, the exploration of reality ultimately unfolds in two directions: outward, toward the vastness of the cosmos, and inward, toward the consciousness through which that cosmos is known. These two journeys form the foundation of his work: To understand the universe is a journey of knowledge. To understand the knower is a journey of wisdom. His guiding thought expresses this philosophy simply: “Know the universe through science; know yourself through discernment.”
