Get RAW! With A Real Agent is the 3rd of the "RAW and REAL" series written by bilingual author from Singapore, Cathie Chew (aka Princesscathie888). Cathie shares unreservedly her journey into the life insurance business that spanned over more than 2 decades with Prudential Assurance Singapore. Cathie thought that her romance with her "first" love would end after leaving the insurance career to become her husband's primary care-giver. He was taken seriously ill due to the raw fish bacterial infection in Nov 2015. Despite her initial plans to leave the business of life to pursue new interests, Cathie continues to be sought after by former colleagues and clients in insurance-relate claim matters. Almost single-handedly, Cathie seamlessly handled all her husband's insurance claims. These also include Employee Benefits which were repeatedly rejected by the insurers! Cathie seeks to give insights into her wealth of expertise as an insurance practitioner, her uncommon journey into being a claimant and finally as a "Reverse" Insurance Claim specialist and beyond. Her deepest desire is to leave a living legacy of sound insurance planning to ensure families are well-weathered financially when crises strike untimely.

Cathie is the founder of BEYOND WOW Services Pte Ltd. After more than 2 decades of impacting lives through the miracle of paper and ink, she left her only career with Prudential Assurance Singapore. Cathie became an accidental writer when she emerged as the Winner of a competition in TODAY sponsored by SingTel in 2009. She picked up writing again since Nov 2015 when she suddenly became her husband’s primary caregiver due to the Raw Fish Episode. Several of her articles have been published in TODAYOnline, Straits Times, LianHe Zaobao 联合早报, Mustsharenews etc. Cathie also won for herself 2nd Prize during the V-Day Love Story 2017 by STOMP. A lifelong learner and advocate, Cathie has been featured by several Training Providers including NTUC Learninghub, Equinet Academy. Together with her husband, they were also featured by Blissful Brides Magazines, DollarsAndSense.sg and Mothership. Cathie was the recipient of the RainMaker Award in 2024 and was recently conferred Supply Chain Trainee of The Year 2025. Come end of 2026, Cathie would be featured by British Publishing House Ltd in their 8th edition of BRITISHPEDIA – “Successful People in Malaysia and Singapore”.

Cathie, a mini charity advocate since Nov 2001, has an “enlarged” heart for the least, the last and the lost. She is relentlessly passionate about building strong marriages and bringing up emotionally healthy children. Cathie is married to her RAW to REAL Man, Sim Tharn Chun for three decades. They have 3 amazing grown-up children- Charis, Micah and Charity. The couple have a 22-month-old grandson, Chase. Chase is the firstborn of Charis and their son-in-law, Chester.
