International Tagore Awardee poet Dr Ratan Bhattacharjee D.Litt is a former Affiliate Faculty Virginia Commonwealth University & and Associate Professor and Ex-Head PG English Dum Dum Motijheel College. At present he is the Founder President of Kolkata Indian American Society.He is also an APJ Abdul Kalam Awardee 2023 multilingual Columnist and his short story collection Six Feet Distance : Looking Down to Lockdown published from Bloomington USA is the best seller and Book of the Year Award 2025 in the Kolkata Literary Festival . For his Oleander Blooms he is called the “Oleander Poet”. His Ballad of the Bleeding Bubbles is translated into Assamese as Raktata Burburanir Malita.
